Capitol Engineering has been using its expertise since 1937 to serve its commercial and industrial customers and in 2005 has decided to lend this expertise to the residential market.

This has come about from the many requests we get to design a heating ventilating and air conditioning system for mid to high-end residential construction.  These houses usually require some complex zoning and control systems that the typical contractor is not familiar with.  Whether it is radiant heat, snow melting, or DDC controls, Capitol Engineering can handle it.

Our Residential Design Services involve a standard package that includes a "sit-down" meeting with the home owners, detailed load calculations of the building, engineering and design services, and CAD drawings (typically 5 drawings for a standard two-story colonial style).  We also include review of the submittals and two visits to the job site during the course of construction/installation.  More complexhouses or systems that require additional visits/oversight or drawings are handled on a time and materials or pro rated basis.
